Dedicated to an era long gone featuring architectural photographs of houses, hotels, apartment and office buildings, civic institutions and more...many of which are no longer standing.

Ever since I was a child I've always been very attracted and impressed with these early public buildings....they just don't make'em like this anymore.
Wow, built back in the day when one had respect for their politicians and law makers. State and local governments took pride in what they built and the civic pride is evident. How far we have sunk.
I love the connection with the World Fair and white cities. Citizens at the time must have been thrilled with the staggering size and confidence of the courthouse.
What is the building used for now?29
It's still a courthouse- essentially unchanged. maincoutrooms now have dropped ceilings and all the nice molding on top of the pillars are gone. The flooring was also replaced with cheaper substitute- but other than that the courtrooms are essentially unchanged.
