The Hotel Navarre

 The Hotel Navarre designed by Barney & Chapman c. 1900 on Seventh Avenue and West 38th Street in New York City.  The hotel was demolished c. 1930 and replaced with the Navarre Building seen HERE on google street view.

A bit of Azay-le-Rideau, or Chambord, on Seventh Avenue ~ I've always been a push-over for Francois Premier ! Love that ( terra cotta ? ) ornament !

That terra-cotta ornamentation, well almost certainly terra-cotta anyway, is absolutely fantastic at the ground floor level. What a richly detailed facade to walk past each day.
