The Robert B. Potter Residence
The Robert Burnside Potter residence designed by Robertson & Potter c. 1903 at 123 East 73rd Street in New York City. Potter was an architect and nephew of William Appleton Potter, partner with Robert Henderson Robertson in Potter & Robertson from 1875-1881. Potter's father was Major General Robert Brown Potter. In 1902 the younger Potter joined with R.H. Robertson to establish Robertson & Potter. Click HERE to see the Potter residence on google street view.

I didn't get to see this one when I was in Manhattan but my absolute favorite just because of the setback. Interiors are very fine too.
What a treat! I had not seen this view when it still had the shutters. I had a field office in the "double wide" across the street 1987-89 during that house's renovation.
I wonder what that is being suspended over the leftmost dormer...
What an odd but appealing little duck this house is. Love it.
