Such a handsome house, in both the White and Meyer incarnations (Zach, think I have photos of the Meyer version---give a shout if you want them).
Just connecting the dots---this is of course the same Henry White who later married Florence Vanderbilt Sloane of Elm Court in Lenox
That was Emily Thorn Vanderbilt Sloane White.
Mr. White was descended from the Ridgelys of Hampton through his mother Eliza. His daughter Muriel, from his first marriage to Margaret Stuyvesant Rutherford, went on to marry Count Hermann von Seherr-Thoss. Their son Hans Christoph would later marry Sonia Phipps, daughter of Henry Carnegie Phipps of Spring Hill.

DED feel free to post the Eugene Meyer-era photos, I'd love to see them. Also if anyone has photos of the interior of the Meyers' estate Seven Springs in Bedford I've always been curious to see more of that house, thanks.
And of course Eugene Meyer's daughter was Katherine Graham who so famously ran The Washington Post.
I believe that this was the house used in Hitchcock's North By Northwest movie with C Grant.
