The John Roll McLean residence greatly enlarged and designed by John Russell Pope c. 1907 at 1500 I Street in Washington D.C. Following McLean's death in 1916 the residence was inherited by his son Edward, husband of Evalyn Walsh McLean. The house was eventually demolished in 1939.
